* the acceptance of the confession of faith. 'There is no God but the one, true God (Allah) and Muhammad is his Prophet.';
* prayer, 5 times in every 24 hours, facing Mecca, because that is where a building exists (called the Kaaba) which they believe that Abraham personally built;
* almsgiving;
* observe the sacred month of Ramadan by fasting from dawn to sunset;
* a pilgrimage to Mecca, at least once in his lifetime. Again, this is to honor Abraham, for being the very first True Believer in the One True God by his willingness to sacrifice his own son for that God.
